The College is pleased to announce a joint appointment has been made between HLH and WHC, to provide staff cover for the college’s Strontian Learning Centre. Helen Tait, Library Supervisor in Strontian, is to undertake the role. The appointment is for 3 hours per week. Helen will work closely with the Learning Centre Manager in Kilchoan to agree and implement learning centre objectives over the next 6 months. The appointment is initially for 6 months
The College and HLH both see this as a very positive development.
Here is a quote from Cath Buxton (Senior Network Librarian – Community & Outreach): I think it’s a great opportunity for the WHC and HLH to work together and will be such a bonus for the community at Strontian.
And here is one from Fiona Grant ( Assistant Principal for Quality, Learning and Teaching– West Highland College UHI): This presents a really good opportunity to show how two organisations, WHC and HLH, can work together. Broadly speaking we both have similar aims focused on empowering and serving our communities, individuals and local businesses, which is obviously a good starting point.
