On 2nd March, the AHS S1 pupils had the chance to visit the Lochaber Newton Room and learn about Scotland’s Space Industry. They had the opportunity to create and launch rockets, while thinking about how Newton’s Laws allow us to do this, programme Lego Mindstorm robots to mimic orbiting satellites, and learn about remote sensing while using radio, infrared and ultraviolet detectors.

The day was enjoyed by all.
