Scots Makar Poet visit AHS
We welcomed Jackie Kay, the Scots Makar poet, on 29th May.

Jackie Kay gave a presentation in the Venue and spoke to all our pupils about life as a writer and presented some of her poetry.

This was an immense privilege for the school, as Kay’s work is part of the set text for National Five English Set Scottish Text paper.

A visit, celebrated and enjoyed by all our pupils and staff.
