Springboard Scotland Future Chef

Great news and congratulations to Hannah Hunter who took one of two places in the Springboard Scotland West of Scotland Area Final held in Fort William yesterday. She received a recipe book, certificate and other prizes from Springboard Scotland.

Hannah cooked Venison Wellington with a Mushroom Duxelle, butternut squash puree and butter poached sprouts with a wild mushroom sauce followed by Vanilla Panna Cotta with an orange caramel sorbet and Pineapple and Mango Salsa for which she was highly praised by the judges.  They told her "not to change an thing' as her menu was different and exciting but provided some really useful feedback.

Hannah will now go onto the next stage of the competition which will be the North of Scotland Regional Final held in Inverness on 24th February.

Huge thanks to Gary Phillips at Kilcamb Lodge Hotel for mentoring Hannah for this competition and Springboard Scotland for organising it.
